High-Level job description:

The JDE Technical Team is mainly responsible for supporting the full suite of JD Edwards ERP system and other ancillary business applications used by International Upstream. This SME role, co-located with the Asset/Service Delivery Team, provides Asset Planning and Operational support. Leverages standardized process and tools to support Asset Teams in their planning, operation, and management of IT Services delivered to Chevron.

Responsibilities for this position includes but are not limited to:

  • Support the JDE infrastructure by troubleshooting technical issues. Problem-escalation and resolution, working with Oracle and other software/hardware vendors to identify and resolve issues.

  • Perform technical core tasks including JDE CNC optimization and troubleshooting

  • Plan and execute software installation and upgrades, tools release upgrades, workload analysis, and system health checks and monitoring.

  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures.

  • Design solutions, and assist production support teams in deploying the solutions.

  • Assess the feasibility of technical changes, and their impact.

  • Assist to identify OC gaps within the organization, and develop skills as needed.

  • Occasional work during non-business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) to respond to system emergencies, or to complete critical tasks will be required.

  • Assist with the IRM (Info Risk Management) Analyst duties as required which could include:

  • Coordinating or providing guidance during audits.

  • Maintain a current understanding of Corporate IRM Policies, Standards, and Controls.

  • Proactively assess the asset and processes for potential risk areas.

  • Review processes, interfaces, or applications for IP compliance prior to transition to production.

Selection Criteria

  • IT Experience. Demonstrated knowledge of IT and delivering IT Services, with domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Windows Server's administration; Linux administration; SQL Server administration; SQL sentence's management; PowerShell scripting.

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience working with JDE
