SAP Business Warehouse Analyst

The successful candidate for this position will benefit from broad exposure to a multiple Business Partners across the globe, and from learning critical business processes used throughout the enterprise. The SAP Application org supports the world-wide implementation of SAP, and team members work closely with colleagues in US, Manila, India and elsewhere. With Project LEAP and other high-level ERP initiatives underway, SAP BW will be a challenging, demanding, and rewarding place to work in the next few years, and the person in this position will have the opportunity to be a part of that evolution. The work involves trouble-shooting, analysis, coordination, and resolution of various types of problems for Chevron's Global SAP BW system.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provides business warehouse operational support for SAP Business Warehouse (BW). Emphasis is on the investigation, analysis, and resolution SAP BW backend and frontend problems to contribute to the achievement of the team's overall service level agreements

  • Applies change and release management in moving SAP BW changes or enhancements from development to production environments.

  • Coordinate SAP BW work/tasks during related asset lifecycle maintenance activities (e.g. support pack installations, system upgrades, server move, etc.)

  • Performs regression testing to ensure production readiness prior project release/deployment

  • Coordinates and provides oversight to third-party contractors during extraction transformation and load (ETL) execution and monitoring.

  • Advocates operational excellence by initiating and leading process improvements and efficiency efforts.

  • Participate in stakeholder engagements to understand and address client concerns, as necessary.

  • Provides consultation to other ITC teams regarding support design and operational processes

  • Creates and maintains documentation; facilitates end-user training

  • Experience in and ability to work across multiple time zones / geographies with team members and business partners.

Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or other relevant fields

  • At least 2 years’ experience in one or more SAP Functional and Technical Areas such as FI, Sales, APO, ABAP Development, IM Team etc.

  • Experienced in programming/application development especially in ABAP/4

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time demonstrating strong technical fundamentals & business process acumen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP ABAP coding background

  • SAP BW Background or other Data Warehousing/BI technologies.

  • Knowledgeable in MS Excel Macros and Visual Basic
