Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Maintenance Team Lead Analyzers located in El Segundo,CA Refinery , through November 22nd, 2018. .
The Maintenance Team Lead (MTL) will work within the Maintenance Organization throughout the refinery. The position includes activities and functions of the refinery’s Analyzer Group. Specifically, how each are conducted using approved safe work practices, environmental and company regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The MTL will supervise maintenance activities according to the Routine Work Control Process throughout the El Segundo Refinery. The position will require close working relationships with various contractors and material vendors. The position also interfaces with the Capital Projects Organization. Participating in model reviews, constructability reviews and working to integrate the Capital Project scope into the Routine Work Control Process.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Familiar with Chevron's Tenets of Operation and their practical application regarding planning, scheduling and execution of Analyzer Group maintenance activities.
Coordinate the safe planning and execution of Analyzer Group activities with Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Give work direction to hourly Chevron and contract resources.
Regularly communicate with other organizations to promote collaboration and remove barriers.
Interfaces with representatives from multiple support service within the Chevron, El Segundo refinery.
Owns Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track analyzer alarms, backlog, overdue workorders, overtime, etc.
Exhibit ownership of the schedule. Works closely with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure material is on site and that Maximo schedule is suitably loaded.
Own contractor onboarding for Analyzer Group support. Ensuring the contractor(s) are given Chevron’s expectations for incident and injury free work.
Support and enforces management objectives, directives and guidelines during daily interaction within the contractual limits of a represented workforce.
Resolves daily problems with planning, scheduling, safety, manpower and equipment issues in the execution of analyzer maintenance.
Leads daily start of shift meetings. Attends other meetings as necessary to facilitate Analyzer Group business.
Evaluate hazards, safety concerns and specialty equipment for analyzer work.
Ensure continuous reinforcement of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Support Chevron Way behaviors to maintain Incident Free Operation. Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ Years' of experience in the oil, chemical and/or nuclear industry or in a military environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills. Able to build and lead a high-performance team.
Proven oral and written communication skills.
Experience working directly with Engineers, Operations and Union Employees.
Familiarity with safety requirements (OSHA).
Ability to build solid collaborative relationships.
Ability to make necessary manpower adjustments and scheduling changes to ensure resources are being used to accommodate Analyzer Group priorities. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of analyzers and analyzer compliance regulations.
A minimum of 10 years refinery experience in a maintenance, operations, or project role.
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling experience.
Demonstrated supervisory skills with union personnel.
Experience working in a team environment.
Sets high standards of performance for self and own work group that will achieve sustained competitive advantage.
Experience working a Work Control process.
Experience working with a behavior-based safety program. Relocation Options: Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
